Remove Xp's Default Games

All of the latest versions of windows have all included a load of free games accessible from the start menu. These include backgammon, pinball, minesweeper and many other timeless classics. But do you actually use them? If you don’t why not remove them?
In this tutorial I will show you how to remove the default games using XP’s ‘Add or remove programs’ utility.

NOTE:
Before you continue with this tutorial please read the terms and conditions of use by clicking here

START

The Removal Process

• Click Start, then control panel (or run then type ‘control’)

• The control panel dialog should load, click on ‘Add or Remove Programs’.

• Another dialog will load labelled ‘Add or Remove Programs’. You should now see a list of all the programs installed on your machine, beside them should be four buttons, click the one saying ‘Add/Remove Windows Components’.

• Again another dialog will load, with a list of Windows components installed on your machine, highlight ‘Accessories and Utilities’ (by clicking it once) then click ‘Details’.

• You should now only see two possible selections, one being ‘Accessories’ the other ‘Games’, beside them there should be check boxes.

• Uncheck the box beside ‘Games’ then click ‘OK’.

• The dialog will close, now click next. Windows will now run a wizard which will remove the games from your system, when it is finished click ‘Finish’ then you may close all dialogs and restart your machine to complete the removal.
